Camping requires recreating the mechanisms of survival, and applying specialized skills, depending on what we can do with our hands. Camping takes us to the frontier where nature and civilization meet; we can learn a lot about both if we keep our eyes open.

Aquatics, Archery, Archery, Astronomy, Backpacking, Bike, Blacksmithing, Canoeing, Caving, Climbing, Fishing, GPS, Horse riding, Kayaking, Metalworks, Laser Tag, Robotics, skills, Lock-in, New Scouts, Rocket, Shooting, Wilderness, Winter Camp and many more.
There are four national high adventure's for older scouts.
The Florida Sea Base, Northern Tier High Adventure Base, Summit Bechtel Reserve, and Philmont Scout Ranch annually seek applications from qualified men and women. Each season, for example, Philmont alone employs more than 1,100 individuals, from trail-guide rangers to backcountry program staffers to base camp and Philmont Training Center support people. Likewise, Northern Tier and the Florida Sea Base fill similar seasonal slots. Applicants must be 18 or older; previous Scouting experience and attendance at a high-adventure base are helpful but not required.

High adventure is the next evolution of your Scouting Experiences, drawing on what you have learned in the Scouting program so far and ramping up the adventure and focusing more on individual experiences and group dynamics.
Different from a traditional Scout summer camp experience, merit badges aren’t the focus (but that doesn’t mean you can’t earn a few while you’re at it) instead it’s all about making memories and getting life experiences that will stick with you for life. Philmont and Northern Tier are for scouts 14 and older. Sea Base is for scouts 13 and older.
